But now there's research about a form of magnetic therapy which seems to actually work: repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). This is a technique of repeatedly stimulating the brain using MRI magnets, to reduce resistance to firing and maintain connections. In the recent study, it was used in spinal injury patients, and they showed improvement. A small, short-term study, but with very promising results.
